【SMM Aluminum News Flash】Uzbekistan to build its first aluminum can manufacturing plant

According to foreign media reports, the International Finance Corporation (IFC) will invest up to $18 million in East Can Solutions, providing financing and advisory support to establish Uzbekistan's first aluminum can manufacturing plant. Located in Tashkent, the new plant will provide beverage producers with fully recyclable packaging, helping to meet growing domestic demand, expand local supply, and reduce reliance on imports. The plant will have an annual production capacity of 1.1 billion cans.
