Recently, the Ecological Environment Bureau of a city in a province released an announcement regarding the approval of the environmental impact assessment documents for the "Retired Power Battery and Spent Lithium Battery Comprehensive Utilization Project" at the Guangzhou headquarters of a provincial new energy circular economy zero-carbon smart industrial park. A smart energy development company's project is located in a town, a district of the city, mainly constructing facilities to produce cascaded use batteries using 30,000 tons/year of spent lithium-ion battery packs (modules) as raw materials through disassembly and assembly processes.
