Li Auto (02015.HK)'s former Senior Vice President of Autonomous Driving, Lang Xianpeng, confirmed in a post on his personal social media platform that he has transitioned from autonomous driving to humanoid robots, stating, "Humbly learning, accepting guidance and suggestions." Earlier, it was reported that Li Auto had restructured its R&D system into foundational model, software entity, and hardware entity teams, with Lang Xianpeng becoming the head of hardware entity, primarily responsible for robot R&D and no longer in charge of autonomous driving. Li Auto CEO Li Xiang was recently revealed to have held an online all-hands meeting, clearly stating that beyond automobiles, the company will definitely develop humanoid robots and aims to launch them as soon as possible.
