State Council Unveils 12 Measures to Boost Service Consumption and Drive New Growth Areas

The General Office of the State Council issued the "Work Plan for Accelerating the Cultivation of New Growth Drivers in Service Consumption," which introduces 12 policy measures across three dimensions: stimulating development vitality in key areas, fostering momentum in potential sectors, and strengthening support mechanisms. The plan explicitly identifies transportation, home services, online audiovisual content, residential tourism, the automotive aftermarket, and inbound consumption as key service consumption sectors.

China's Industrial Profits Reach 7.4 Trillion Yuan in 2025, Reversing Three-Year Decline
According to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), the total profits of industrial enterprises above the designated size nationwide reached 7.4 trillion yuan in 2025, an increase of 0.6% compared to the previous year, successfully reversing the previous three consecutive years of decline. Specifically, in December, the profit situation of industrial enterprises above the designated size improved significantly, shifting from a 13.1% decline in November to a 5.3% growth.
