Mythic, Led by Ex-NVIDIA Exec, Secures Funding to Rival NVIDIA with Analog Chips

According to a statement on Wednesday, Mythic hired Taner Ozcelik, a veteran of NVIDIA, as CEO last year. This round of funding was led by venture capital firm DCVC. Other investors include SoftBank Group and Honda Motor Co., among others. The company has adopted a completely new approach to handling the massive amounts of data required for running artificial intelligence software. It relies on analog chips, which consume significantly less power than the digital components typically used as the "brains" of computers. Ozcelik, who worked at NVIDIA for ten years and was deeply influenced by its co-founder and CEO Jensen Huang throughout his career, stated, "We have made it clear that our goal is to catch up with NVIDIA.
