【SMM Steel】India's Sambhv Tubes Cleared for Greenfield Integrated Steel Project in Chhattisgarh

【SMM Steel】Sambhv Steel Tubes' subsidiary Sambhv Tubes Private Limited has received Environmental Clearance from the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change for a greenfield integrated steel project in Kesda, Chhattisgarh. The approved integrated facility includes annual capacities of 700,000 tons DRI-based sponge iron, 1.2 million tons iron ore pellets, and 1.045 million tons MS billets using EAF and induction furnaces. The project also comprises units for 1 million tons steel tubes/pipes and profiles, 1 million tons rerolled products, 600,000 tons cold-rolled products, and an 85 MW captive power plant. The 10-year Environmental Clearance can be extended an additional year, paving the way for large-scale industrial development.
