【12,000-Ton Waste Lithium Battery Recycling Project Approved in Heilongjiang】
Recently, the Hegang Ecological Environment Bureau in Heilongjiang Province announced the intended approval opinions for the environmental impact assessment documents of two projects, including the Hegang Waste Lithium Battery Recycling Project. The project, undertaken by Heilongjiang Company, involves a total investment of 190 million yuan. Located south of Guangyi Wood Industry, Nanshan District, Hegang City, it will be constructed in two phases. Phase I will establish one waste lithium battery processing line with an annual capacity of 6,000 tons (including 5,000 t/a waste NMC batteries and 1,000 t/a waste LFP batteries). Phase II will involve constructing five production lines within the factory buildings: three for waste cathode pieces and two for waste anode pieces. The total annual processing capacity for both waste NMC battery cathode and anode pieces will be 6,000 tons each.
