New Price Release of "Indonesia Domestic Nickel Ore Shipping Freight, USD/wmt"

Following the comprehensive implementation of Indonesia's nickel ore export ban in 2020, the country has solidified its role as the global center for nickel processing. This strategic focus on downstream development has led to a rapid expansion of smelting capacity, making the efficient and transparent flow of nickel ore from mine to smelter the critical backbone of the entire industry.

As domestic shipping activity intensifies to support these extensive smelting operations, market participants across the supply chain require a clear and reliable benchmark for freight costs. The establishment of a transparent pricing mechanism is now essential to bring greater clarity and efficiency to daily operations.

In response to this pressing market need and to support the continued development of Indonesia's nickel industry,

Effective November 7, 2025, SMM will begin the official publication of its "Indonesian Domestic Nickel Ore Shipping Freight" price from major mining areas to major ports, which will include:
