Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On October 19, JETOUR, a sub-brand under Chery Group, officially put its flagship off-road plug-in hybrid electric SUV—the Zongheng G700, onto the market. The model is priced between 329,900 yuan and 414,900 yuan, with a limited-time introductory offer ranging from 304,900 yuan to 389,900 yuan. A high-end "Supreme Voyage Edition" has also been announced, with a pre-sale price of 700,000 yuan.

As the debut model of JETOUR's new Zongheng lineup, the G700 is positioned as a mid-to-large plug-in hybrid electric off-road SUV designed for both capability and versatility. It is powered by Chery's Kunpeng Super Hybrid CDM-O system and features a triple-lock off-road setup, delivering a combined range of up to 1,400 kilometers. Its main rivals include the TANK 500 Hi4-T and BYD's FANGCHENGBAO BAO 8.

The Zongheng G700 embodies JETOUR's new "Armor Starship" design language, emphasizing geometric strength and rugged aesthetics. Its boxy proportions and sharp body lines project a sense of power, while the front features a large, darkened rectangular grille seamlessly integrated with a full-width LED light bar containing 64 matrix LEDs for a distinctive visual signature. A LiDAR sensor positioned in the roof's triangular module supports the vehicle's Falcon 700 driver's assistance system, blending advanced technology with off-road toughness.

Measuring 5,198 mm long, 2,050 mm wide, and 1,956 mm high, with a 2,870 mm wheelbase, the G700 balances spaciousness and off-road capability. Its muscular side profile is enhanced by 30 mm flared "armor-style" wheel arches, 20-inch black beadlock wheels, and all-terrain tires. Fixed side steps and flush door handles add both practicality and a modern, dynamic touch.

At the rear, a side-hinged power tailgate with a soft-closing function highlights the G700's practical engineering. A carbon-fiber spare tire carrier, which integrates a drone charging module, reduces weight while expanding utility. Built on a non-load-bearing chassis, the SUV comes equipped with a 2.5-tonne rated tow hook and full towing certification, catering to outdoor and camping enthusiasts.

Inside, the G700 combines luxury with functionality. About 80% of the cabin is wrapped in soft-touch leather, accented with Qomolangma-inspired contour trim and metallic rivet detailing. The tech package is equally ambitious, featuring a 35.4-inch horizon display paired with a 15.6-inch floating central screen as part of a four-screen interactive system powered by the Kunlun OS. The setup supports voice commands and dedicated off-road interfaces.

Buyers can choose between a traditional five-seat layout or a six-seat configuration in a 2+2+2 format. The second-row captain's chairs in the six-seat version are upholstered in Nappa leather and come with ventilation, heating, and eight-point massage functions. The right-side seat can recline in tandem with the front passenger seat, creating a "lay-flat" relaxation mode.

Off-road capability is a key highlight. Every G700 comes standard with an intelligent triple-lock system—comprising front and rear electronic differential locks and an energy management center lock—capable of directing 100% torque to the wheels with traction. It also features a tank-turn function for agile maneuvering in complex terrain such as ruts and craters. Supported by Huawei's Qiankun ADS 4.0 system, the SUV integrates LiDAR and 4D millimeter-wave radar to enable NOA (Navigate on Autopilot) across highways, urban roads, and off-road scenarios, automatically planning optimal paths even in extreme conditions.

At its core, the Zongheng G700 features the Kunpeng Super Hybrid CDM-O system, pairing a 2.0T engine with three electric motors to deliver a total output of 761 hp and 1,135 Nm of torque. Despite weighing around three tonnes, the SUV accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.6 seconds. The top trim includes a double-wishbone suspension setup at both axles, CDC adaptive damping, air suspension, and R-EPS steering, allowing five adjustable ride heights ranging from -50 mm to +90 mm.

The G700 is powered by CATL's 800V 4C battery pack with a capacity of 34.13 kWh, offering a battery-electric range of 116 km under NEDC standards. Combined with a 100-liter fuel tank, total range reaches 1,400 km. It also boasts a wading depth of 900 mm, increasing to 970 mm when the air suspension is raised—underscoring its capability as a true hybrid off-roader.
