Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On September 25, BYD put the second-generation Qin PLUS onto the market, rolling out three new variants: the Qin PLUS DM-i 128KM Advance Edition and the Qin PLUS EV 420km and 510km Advance Editions. Pricing ranges from 79,800 yuan to 99,800 yuan, with a limited-time promotional offer starting at 69,800 yuan for the National Day holiday.

In terms of styling, the latest Qin PLUS carries forward BYD's signature design language while refining several details. The front fascia adopts the brand's "LOONG FACE" concept, paired with newly sculpted, sharper headlamps for a bolder look. Raised lines along the hood enhance its sporty profile, while a large grille with a dotted pattern reinforces the car's dynamic and modern appeal. A new "Galaxy Beige" exterior color has also been added to the lineup.

From the side, the model maintains a sleek silhouette, with options for different alloy wheel designs, blacked-out mirrors, and window trims to enhance customization.

At the rear, a full-width taillight design improves nighttime recognition, complemented by a sporty ducktail spoiler. The car measures 4,780 mm in length, 1,837 mm in width, and 1,515 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,718 mm.

Inside, changes are relatively modest, though the adoption of a column-mounted electronic shifter stands out. The upgraded parking system now supports front-in and rear-out maneuvers, automatic mirror folding in narrow spaces, and offset parking assistance. The smart cabin introduces mobile-to-car connectivity, enabling functions like screen mirroring, video playback, music continuity, seamless navigation, and privacy mode. BYD also plans to add more features through software updates, including a pet-themed interface, gaming hub, karaoke without a microphone, and voice-controlled games.

Powertrain options include both BEV and PHEV variants. The Qin PLUS EV is equipped with a 100 kW electric motor and offers two CLTC-rated ranges of 420 km and 510 km. The Qin PLUS DM-i combines a 74 kW gasoline engine with a 120 kW electric motor, supported by a 15.8 kWh battery pack. This configuration delivers a battery-powered range of 128 km and a combined range of up to 2,055 km on a full tank and charge, with fuel consumption as low as 2.69 liters per 100 km under NEDC conditions. Fast charging can replenish the battery to 80% in about 30 minutes.
