The Gasgoo Automotive Research Institute recently released its rankings of top ADAS component suppliers by Q1 2025 installation volume in China.

The Gasgoo Automotive Research Institute recently released its rankings of top ADAS component suppliers by Q1 2025 installation volume in China, offering valuable insights into the evolving competitive landscape of the sector. China’s local suppliers have made significant advancements in core parts such as LiDAR, air suspension system, and HD map, challenging the dominance of global players.

Technology integration has become the industry norm. This is evident the race for computing power between forward-facing cameras and domain controller chips, the fusion of multi-source sensor in high-precision positioning systems, and the application of ADAS and APA solutions in specific scenarios. As the industry accelerates, a "hardware-embedded, software-iterated" development model is rapidly taking shape.

While market concentration and differentiation coexist, leading players are strengthening their positions through technological barriers and economies of scale, while smaller players focus on specialized niches. Together, they are driving China's automotive industry towards a new era of intelligent evolution.

Top LiDAR suppliers:China’s local manufacturers rise, reshaping market landscape

Driven by the rapid growth of robotics, smart cities, and other related fields, LiDAR has become a critical component in the perception layer, fueling surging market demand. Market share among leading suppliers continues to concentrate, with innovation and cost optimization emerging as the key drivers of market expansion.

According to the rankings below, Hesai Technology leads the LiDAR market with 104,687 units installed, followed closely by Huawei Technologies with 101,604 units. RoboSense ranks third with 96,128 units installed. Together, the top three manufacturers account for 91.4% of the total market share. In contrast, smaller players are facing a reduction in market share, with the "Others" category having just 28 units installed.

Top air suspension system suppliers: Leading players drive strong market growth

The Q1 2025 ranking of air suspension system suppliers in China reveals the rapid rise of China’s local suppliers, with companies like KH Automotive Technologies, Baolong Automotive, and Tuopu Group leading the way. Together, they hold over 90% of the market, showing the advancements China’s auto-parts industry has made in advanced technologies and the shifting dynamics of the air suspension system market.

KH Technologies leads the market with a 35.4% share and 57,322 units installed. Baolong Automotive follows closely behind, holding 31.9% of the market with 51,693 units installed. Tuopu Group ranks third with a 22.7% share (36,751 units installed). In contrast, traditional global suppliers such as Vibracoustic (5.2%) and Continental (4.7%) have seen their market shares drop to single digits, while the "Others" category accounts for 0.1% of the total market.

Top HD map suppliers: AutoNavi leads pack, shaping market landscape of one dominant player among many strong contenders

HD map, regarded as the "digital foundation" for perception and decision-making, is becoming a critical resource in the competition for automotive intelligence. Perception allows the system to understand its surroundings, while decision-making enables it to take actions based on that understanding. AutoNavi, which holds a market share of over 40%, continues to dominate the segment.

Specifically, AutoNavi's market share is more than three times that of the combined volume of second to fourth-ranked competitors, with an installation volume 5.9 times that of second-place NavInfo, highlighting the industry's "Matthew Effect."

Top forward-facing camera suppliers: Bosch maintains lead; local suppliers rapidly gain ground

Forward-facing camera, a key sensor in ADAS, is experiencing a surge in both market demand and technological advancements. With an installation volume of 538,795 units and a market share of 17.2%, Bosch continues to take the lead, nearly twice that of second-place DENSO.

Freetech ranks fourth with 239,038 units installed and a market share of 7.6%, while BYD Semiconductor follows closely in fifth place with 220,630 units and a 7.1% market share. Sunny Smartlead takes the sixth spot with 199,023 units and a 6.4% market share. Together, China’s local suppliers have surpassed 20% of the market share, forming a competitive landscape led by foreign players with local brands in fast pursuit.

Top driving-dedicated ADAS suppliers: All-in-one front-view machines remain as mainstream choice, while local suppliers are making rapid strides

As L2 ADAS becomes more widely adopted, it is now a standard feature in new vehicles. According to the ranking below, Bosch maintains a strong lead with a market share nearly double that of second-place DENSO, with over 540,000 units installed. BYD, Freetech, and Huawei together hold a 19.6% share, largely benefiting from growing orders from China-owned car companies and their localized services.

The all-in-one front-view machine remains the mainstream ADAS solution in the short term due to its balance of cost and performance. However, in the long run, domain controller solutions are expected to dominate the future ADAS market. For suppliers, finding a balance between technology choices, cost management, and global expansion will be the key to success.

Top ADAS domain controller suppliers: Customized collaboration leads market, with Desay SV at forefront

ADAS domain controller has become a key differentiator for car companies. According to the ranking below, Desay SV leads the market with a 27.8% market share, which is 1.5 times that of second-place BYD. With over 240,000 units installed, its solutions support more than 30 models from leading car companies, including Li Auto, XPENG, and Chery. As companies like BYD and Huawei are quickly gaining ground through customized collaboration, the competitive landscape is shifting towards a “one dominant player among many strong contenders” landscape.

Top APA solution suppliers: China’s local suppliers surpass 40% market share, opening era of accessible tech

As ADAS rapidly trickles down into mid- and entry-level vehicles, the APA solution has become a key component of automotive intelligence. According to the rankings below, Bosch and Valeo remain leading places, together hold a 31% share. Meanwhile, local suppliers are making a breakthrough—eight companies including BYD, Huawei, Li Auto, and XPENG together secure a 43.5% share, driven largely by surging orders from China-owned car companies and the advantages of localized services.
