The 18,000-tonne ship, equipped with 7,000 vehicle spaces, will depart with more than 5,000 Chinese-made cars bound for the UK, the Netherlands, Belgium, and other European destinations.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On May 22, Geely Automobile's logistics arm, JISU Logistics, held the naming and maiden voyage ceremony for its first self-operated roll-on/roll-off (RoRo) vessel, JISU FORTUNE, at Haitong Terminal in Suzhou Port's Taicang port area, according to a post on an official WeChat account of Taicang government.

The 18,000-tonne ship, equipped with 7,000 vehicle spaces, will depart with more than 5,000 Chinese-made cars bound for the UK, the Netherlands, Belgium, and other European destinations.

As JISU Logistics' first self-owned RoRo ship, JISU FORTUNE measures 199.9 meters in length and 38 meters in beam, with 12 decks capable of transporting both internal combustion engine and lithium battery vehicles. Four of the decks are height-adjustable to accommodate various vehicle sizes, while the 11th and 12th decks are designed to carry new energy vehicles powered by hydrogen or natural gas.

The vessel is outfitted with two 2,000-cubic-meter C-type LNG storage tanks and runs primarily on liquefied natural gas (LNG), significantly cutting emissions of nitrogen and sulfur oxides. As a new-generation eco-friendly vessel, it improves fuel efficiency and aligns with Geely’s commitment to green logistics.

Geely, a longstanding client of Taicang Port, has previously exported vehicles from multiple regions, including Wuhan and Zhejiang, through this hub to Europe and the Middle East. JISU Logistics, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Geely, has built a comprehensive logistics network covering pre-production, production, and post-production phases across domestic and international operations.

Geely's overseas performance continues to gain momentum. In April 2025 alone, the company exported 24,133 vehicles, bringing its total exports from January to April to 114,086 units. The launch of JISU FORTUNE is expected to further boost Geely's international sales and enhance its global logistics capabilities.
