According to media reports, the US Department of Commerce has made a preliminary ruling that there are subsidies for key battery components in China, believing that Chinese producers of active anode materials have received substantial government subsidies, paving the way for the subsequent imposition of countervailing duties.

[Interview] From a Separator Giant to a Pioneer in Solid Electrolyte Composite Films: Shenzhen Senior Technology Material's Continuous Advancement in Lithium Battery Materials

Recently, Shenzhen Senior Technology Material (300568) and its partner, CAS Shenlan, showcased their innovative achievements in solid-state battery solutions at CIBF 2025. On that day, Shenzhen Senior Technology Material officially launched its new product, the solid electrolyte film, providing a new technological path and solution for the commercialization of all-solid-state batteries, and demonstrating the company's determination and strength in seizing the technological high ground in the industry.

In the "rigid-flexible integration" new-type solid-state battery solution jointly developed by Shenzhen Senior Technology Material and CAS Shenlan, the pioneering "rigid-flexible integration" and "in-situ curing" processes involve Shenzhen Senior Technology Material supplying the "rigid framework," solving the "hard and brittle" problem of inorganic ceramic electrolytes and ensuring the structural stability of the battery. The flexible conductive electrolyte, through in-situ thermal polymerization, overcomes the industry pain point of capacity decay caused by solid-solid interface contact.

The launch of this solid electrolyte film signifies that Shenzhen Senior Technology Material has secured a key position in the solid-state battery industry chain. After mass production, the company will not only be able to supply key materials and components, significantly increasing its value share in batteries, but also, under this technological route, battery companies can largely reuse their previous lithium battery production equipment, reducing steps such as electrolyte injection, and further improving battery production efficiency. [Highlights] Enjie Group: The company's sulphide solid electrolyte film has achieved roll-to-roll, continuous production

Recently, separator leader Enjie Group (002812) held a launch event for its new all-solid-state sulphide products, introducing a series of new products including ultra-pure lithium sulphide, ultra-fine sulphide solid electrolyte, and high-conductivity sulphide solid electrolyte film.

On the evening of May 20, Enjie Group disclosed the survey summary. According to the introduction, the company has been an early mover in the all-solid-state battery material route within the industry. As early as December 2021, the company jointly established a holding subsidiary, Hunan Enjie Advanced New Materials Technology Co., Ltd., with a team from Central South University, determining to develop all-solid-state-related materials with sulphides as the main route. At this stage, it has three products: high-purity lithium sulphide, sulphide solid electrolyte, and sulphide electrolyte film.

When discussing the electrolyte film, Enjie Group pointed out that this product mainly serves to isolate the anode and cathode and transmit lithium ions in solid-state batteries. The main preparation process involves mixing sulphide solid electrolyte, solvent, and adhesive to form a slurry, coating it onto a PET film, and then using a rolling process to form an independently supported film. Currently, the company's sulphide solid electrolyte film has achieved roll-to-roll, continuous production, with a thickness that can reach 30μm and an ionic conductivity of over 3ms/cm. [Company] Dongfeng Group: Actively collaborating on the R&D and testing of semi-solid separators and full-solid base films

On the evening of May 21, Dongfeng Group (601515) stated at the 2024 Annual and Q1 2025 Performance Briefing that the company is collaborating with leading partners in the industry to deploy core battery materials such as semi-solid/solid-state battery separators and base films. The products include composite copper foil, composite aluminum foil, copper foam, functional film materials for semi-solid-state batteries, composite membranes and electrolyte coating processes for solid-state battery electrolytes, coatings for new energy vehicles, and CCS integrated busbar structural components. Meanwhile, the company is actively collaborating on the R&D and testing of semi-solid separators and full-solid base films, continuously expanding its product categories and coverage in new-type materials, iterating products to form new growth momentum, and further optimizing its industrial layout in the field of new-energy new-type materials.
