[CPCA: Retail sales of domestic narrow passenger vehicle market reached 1.755 million units in April, up 14.5% YoY] According to the latest retail sales data statistics from the Passenger Vehicle Market Information Joint Conference Branch of the China Automobile Dealers Association, in April 2025, the retail sales of the domestic narrow passenger vehicle market reached 1.755 million units, up 14.5% YoY and down 9.4% MoM. The cumulative sales from January to April were 6.872 million units, up 7.9% YoY. Driven by the national policies to promote consumption, many provinces and cities have introduced and gradually implemented corresponding policies to stimulate consumption. Coupled with the producers' increased subsidies, financial support, and comprehensive offline activities such as sales promotions at auto shows, the auto market performed well in April. Both production and wholesale by passenger vehicle producers reached record highs for the month. The YoY growth rate of retail sales was the highest in the same period of normal years over the past decade, further weakening the quarterly cyclical fluctuations in the auto market and achieving an unexpected "strong start" of 9% from January to April 2025.
