According to EVE, on April 29, 2025, Phase I of the 500MW/1000MWh shared energy storage system (ESS) project in Luliang County, Qujing City, Yunnan Province, was successfully connected to the grid and put into operation. This is the first shared ESS project jointly constructed by EVE and SPIC Yunnan International Power Investment Co., Ltd. The project was developed, constructed, and operated by Luliang Dianneng Electric Power Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of SPIC Yunnan International, with a total planned capacity of 500MW/1000MWh. Phase I has a capacity of 200MW/400MWh, and the designed lifespan of the power station is 20 years.
