CosMX Battery's Quasi-Solid-State Battery Project Successfully Passes Guangdong Provincial Acceptance

【CosMX Battery's Quasi-Solid-State Battery Project Passes Acceptance】According to CosMX Battery, the company led the R&D plan project in a key area of Guangdong Province, "R&D and Industrialisation Application of Quasi-Solid-State Lithium Power Batteries," which successfully passed the acceptance by the expert panel of the Department of Science and Technology of Guangdong Province. The project team successfully achieved breakthroughs in key technologies, including roll-to-roll preparation technology for solid electrolyte membranes, low-impedance interface construction technology for electrodes with high areal capacity, quasi-solid-state cell preparation technology based on in-situ polymerised solid-state interface fusion, failure mechanisms of quasi-solid-state power batteries, and real-time detection and management technology for the health status of quasi-solid-state batteries. The team completed the development of quasi-solid-state power battery cells and PACK systems, and achieved demonstration applications in vehicle installations.

Mount Holland Expansion Plan Officially Approved, with Project Capacity Set to Double
The expansion adds new mineral resources and replicates the existing complete beneficiation production line. Once completed, annual spodumene concentrates capacity will reach 4.4 million mt, while annual lithium hydroxide production will remain unchanged at 50,000 mt. The mine is held 50/50 by Chile's SQM and Australia's Wesfarmers, with operations managed by their joint venture Covalent Lithium. The expansion is also expected to extend the mine's operational life. Located 400 kilometers east of Perth, the mine commenced production in March 2024. This expansion will further consolidate its position as a core global lithium resources supplier.

As a globally leading supplier of cathode materials for lithium-ion batteries, Hunan Yuneng's core products are cathode materials such as lithium iron phosphate, widely used in the manufacturing of power batteries and energy storage batteries. It is deeply tied to leading enterprises such as CATL and BYD, serving as a core supplier in the energy storage battery material sector.
