Lead Industry Faces Tight Raw Material Supply and Production Cuts

[SMM News] The supply of raw materials in the lead industry chain is tight, coupled with weak downstream lead ingot procurement. Many secondary lead smelters have reduced or halted production due to loss pressures. According to a secondary lead smelter under a large battery group, the arrivals of waste lead-acid batteries are poor, and the tight inventory of raw materials may lead to production cuts in mid-May.
