Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On April 23, BYD's premium vehicle DENZA unveiled its first concept sports car, the DENZAZ, making the model’s global debut at the AUTO SHANGHAI 2025.

The DENZA Z features a motorsport-inspired cockpit with carbon fiber components throughout, including an integrated carbon fiber seat design, a sub-dashboard, and a high-strength roll cage.

Technologically, the car incorporates the DiSus-M, a smart magnetorheological suspension system specifically designed for new energy vehicles. Based on magnetorheological fluid dynamics, the system enables seamless, real-time suspension adjustment. Compared to conventional dampers, the DiSus-M offers bidirectional, stepless adjustment for both rebound and compression damping. With response times under 10 milliseconds, it delivers broad-range adaptability, fast reaction speed, and low noise, and can adjust preemptively based on road preview data.

Also debuting on the DENZA Z is the automaker's fully self-developed steer-by-wire system, which eliminates mechanical connections and delivers millisecond-level responsiveness and millimeter-level steering accuracy. This not only enhances safety for human-machine co-driving scenarios but also allows for the integration of a fully embedded, foldable steering wheel—removing the traditional steering column and expanding driver space by 14%.

DENZA's in-house developed "e³ platform" will also be featured in the concept car. The company has already laid out plans for mass production of both wet and dry brake-by-wire systems. The fully electronic chassis—developed entirely in-house—integrates drive, steer, brake, and suspension systems, representing a breakthrough in intelligent vehicle architecture.

With the unveiling of the DENZA Z, DENZA becomes a full-spectrum luxury new energy vehicle brand, now covering MPVs, SUVs, sedans, and sports cars.
