The Philippines' nickel ore exports in Q1 2025 dropped by 15% YoY, mainly due to stricter environmental reviews and the suspension of operations in some mining areas. Chinese nickel pig iron producers may shift their purchases to Indonesia, further boosting the demand for Indonesian nickel ore.
