After the conclusion of the CLNB 2025 (10th) New Energy Industry Chain Expo hosted by SMM, SMM has meticulously organized a field trip, composed of representatives from companies worldwide, including Atlantic Lithium, German Mineral Resources Agency (DERA), ING Wholesale Banking, and LG Energy Solution, etc. to visit multiple enterprises in the new energy industry chain.

On April 21, Adam Shen, Director of New Energy Division Lithium/Anode Industry, Annie Chen, Director of Overseas Marketing Lithium Battery Sector, Cherry Li, Overseas Information Department Account Manager from SMM, along with the delegation members, paid a visit to Yibin Wanpeng Times Technology Co., Ltd., Jian Zou, chairman of Wanpeng, along with the company's management team, head of technical, production, and sales teams, warmly welcomed the delegation and provided a detailed introduction to the company's business development. Jinbo Zhang, the company's general manager, also participated in the online meeting, engaging in in-depth discussions with the delegation on the new energy materials industry.

Sichuan Wanpeng Times was established in July 2021 as a high-tech enterprise specializing in the R&D, production, sales, and service of LFP cathode materials. In August 2021, the company established a wholly-owned subsidiary, Yibin Wanpeng, with a planned total capacity of 200,000 mt.
In May 2023, the first phase of the Yibin base officially commenced production, with the first 20,000 mt production line already operational, and the second phase's 30,000 mt production line actively under preparation.
Regarding future capacity planning, Yibin Wanpeng is expected to initiate the construction of the second phase (30,000 mt/year production line) of the phase I project in 2025. Subsequently, the 50,000 mt capacity of phase II project will begin construction in 2026.

The company's advantages:

Resource advantages:

Phosphate ore, phosphoric acid —Chanhen Group.

Iron phosphate —Chanhen Group in collaboration with Gotion High-tech and Sunwoda.

Lithium carbonate —Chanhen Group in collaboration with Jinyuan Group and Sunwoda.

The combination of phosphorus and lithium resources provides a solid foundation for Wanpeng's development.

Energy advantages:

Hydropower —Green energy strongly supports customers' low-carbon products, and the electricity prices at the Yibin base offer certain advantages compared to other LFP companies.

Natural gas —The natural gas prices at the Yibin base, after government subsidies, provide certain advantages compared to other LFP companies.

Location advantages:

Convenient transportation —The project is located in Yibin, integrating shipping, land transport, and railway transportation advantages, with well-connected transportation networks.

The area boasts a concentration of industrial technical workers, a favorable business environment, and strong support from excellent R&D talents in the Chengdu-Chongqing region.

Wanpeng's production site features new production lines, reasonable design configurations, and extremely low metal particle content.

After the visit, SMM and the delegation members took a group photo with the leaders of Yibin Wanpeng Times Technology Co., Ltd., further strengthening their cooperative friendship. It is believed that deeper exchanges and collaborations will follow in the future!
