The SMM Global Tier 1 Supplier Selection is based on an evaluation system of five core dimensions: market share, R&D strength, international layout, and patent quantity. By the end of 2024, Shandong Fengyuan Lithium Energy Technology Co., Ltd. had built a lithium battery cathode material capacity of 315,000 mt (including 300,000 mt of LFP and 15,000 mt of ternary cathode). The company plans a total cathode material capacity of 880,000 mt, including 500,000 mt of LFP cathode material, 30,000 mt of ternary cathode material, 300,000 mt of iron phosphate, and 50,000 mt of lithium carbonate. Shandong Fengyuan Lithium Energy Technology Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Shandong Fengyuan Chemical Co., Ltd. and serves as the business entity for new energy lithium battery cathode materials.
