China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association Discusses Aluminum Investments in Guinea, Emphasizing Industry Reform, Resource Security, CSR, and Inter-enterprise Cooperation

【The China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association Holds a Symposium on Chinese Enterprises' Aluminum Investments in Guinea】On April 14, the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association held a symposium on Chinese enterprises' aluminum investments in Guinea's Boke Province. At the symposium, the association's President, Mr. Ge Honglin, emphasized four key points. Firstly, the need to fully recognize and consolidate the achievements of the supply-side structural reform in electrolytic aluminum. Effective mechanisms that balance the rule of law and market forces must be established to promote the healthy and stable development of the aluminum industry chain. Secondly, the need to fully recognize country-specific risks and further enhance the security of bauxite resource supply. Domestically, a new round of mineral exploration actions should be actively implemented to increase bauxite reserves and production. Internationally, attention must be paid to the risks of excessive country concentration, and efforts should be made to improve the safety of overseas resource development and acquisition. Thirdly, the need to fully recognize and enhance corporate social responsibility. Emphasis should be placed on green and low-carbon development, deepening the construction of friendly communities, training local talents, and strengthening government-enterprise communication.
