Published: Apr 12, 2025 00:51
The Department of Industry and Information Technology of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, in collaboration with the People's Bank of China Guangxi Branch, formulated the "Guidance Catalog for Financial Support for Aluminum Industry Transformation (Trial)", providing a clear roadmap for the transformation of Guangxi's aluminum industry. Following the release of the catalog, the Nanning Branch of China Minsheng Bank, under the guidance of the People's Bank of China Guangxi Branch, quickly seized the policy opportunity by establishing a professional financial service team and partnering with Guangxi Aluminum Industry Group to jointly explore innovative models for financial services in aluminum industry transformation. After thorough communication and survey, both parties provided a carbon footprint-linked loan of 220 million yuan to Guangxi Baise Guangxi Investment Group Yinhai Aluminum Co., Ltd. for its technological transformation project, applying the catalog. The loan's preferential interest rate is closely related to the company's carbon reduction performance, primarily aimed at reducing the energy consumption per mt of aluminum through technological transformation.
