htBeijing (Gasgoo)- On April 8, Chinese autonomous driving company DeepRoute.ai announced a technical collaboration with Qualcomm Technologies to jointly develop high-performance and cost-efficient advanced driver-assistance (ADAS) and automated driving (AD) solutions based on the Snapdragon® Ride Platform (SA8650).

The new solutions will be available in both LiDAR-based and pure vision configurations, supporting advanced functions such as city and highway Navigation on Autopilot (NOA) and automated parking. Compatible with both oil-fueled vehicles and new energy vehicles, the platform is designed to meet the diverse customization needs of global automakers. The two companies will also co-optimize key AI models, including end-to-end (E2E) bird's-eye view (BEV) perception and Transformer networks, leveraging the Snapdragon platform.

DeepRoute.ai has further optimized its algorithms for extreme lighting conditions—such as strong glare, low light, and backlight—to enhance the perception performance of its pure vision solution, aiming to match that of LiDAR-equipped systems.

The Snapdragon Ride Platform features an open architecture that enables flexible deployment of a wide range of ADAS functions, including camera perception, sensor fusion, driving strategy, automated parking, and driver monitoring. It integrates AI accelerators and imaging engines capable of processing data from 16 cameras, multiple radars, and LiDAR sensors simultaneously, enabling real-time environmental perception and decision-making for advanced smart driving applications.
