Yichang Brunp Times Kicks Off Fourth-Generation LFP Project Amid Soaring Demand for High-Density Batteries

【The Proportion of Shenxing Series Shipments Will Double in 2025, CATL Urgently Needs Fourth-Generation LFP】On April 3, Yichang Brunp Times New Energy Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Yichang Brunp Times") commenced the construction of its fourth-generation LFP project with a total investment of 5.6 billion yuan. The project plans to build three LFP production lines with the largest single-unit capacity in China, each with an annual capacity of 150,000 mt, totaling 450,000 mt/year. The project adopts fourth-generation LFP technology (with a compaction density higher than 2.6 g/cm³), which is compatible with fast-charging power batteries in the LFP series, such as CATL's Shenxing battery and BYD's second-generation blade battery. At the beginning of 2025, industry analysis directly pointed out that the demand for CATL's Shenxing battery and BYD's second-generation blade battery would exceed 800,000 mt. Currently, Yichang Brunp Times has covered the closed loop of "phosphate ore—raw material—precursor—cathode material—battery recycling.
