On March 25, the Xipo iron ore project, jointly developed by China Baowu and Rio Tinto, reached a significant milestone—the most critical belt system was put into operation on schedule, marking the full completion of the project's main engineering and its readiness for large-scale production capacity. This provides strong support for the stable operation of Baowu's iron ore supply chain and the guarantee of steel resources. Located in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, the Xipo project is another joint venture iron ore project between Rio Tinto and China Baowu, following the Bao-Ri Ji East Slope project, with a total investment of approximately 2.4 billion Australian dollars and a designed annual capacity of 25 million mt of iron ore.
