[India to Waive Import Duties on Some Products Needed for EV Battery Production]
According to SMM, on March 25, Indian government officials said that the country will no longer impose import duties on dozens of goods used to manufacture electric vehicle batteries and mobile phones. Currently, India is significantly reducing tariffs to help local producers counter the potential impact of U.S. reciprocal tariffs.
