The machines roared incessantly, workers shuttled through workshops, and products flowed continuously... Recently, the production workshops of major industrial enterprises in Fengzhen City have been bustling with activity. The production and order volumes of many industrial enterprises have continued to rise, with some companies operating new production lines, striving to achieve a strong start in the first quarter.

Entering the production workshop of Jitie Ferroalloy Co., Ltd., workers in protective clothing were seen fully focused on operating various advanced machinery equipment. Through monitoring, it could be observed that raw materials were smelted in high-temperature furnaces, producing high-quality ferroalloy products continuously. Forklifts and transport vehicles moved flexibly within the spacious factory area, presenting a busy yet orderly production scene.

"Since the beginning of this year, the company's production has been safe and stable, with production and sales volumes showing steady growth YoY. We have also continued to deepen cooperation with large enterprises such as Baowu Steel and CITIC Pacific Special Steel, with order volumes steadily increasing," introduced Liu Wei, Deputy General Manager of Jitie Ferroalloy Co., Ltd. He added that the newly added Phase II Project Furnace 502 has been operating smoothly since its start production, with current production reaching 7,500 mt. It is expected that both production and sales volumes in the first quarter will surpass those of the same period last year.

In the polyvinylidene fluoride packaging workshop of Inner Mongolia 3F Wanhao Fluorochemical Co., Ltd., the fully automated production line was impressive. Polyvinylidene fluoride products flowed out from the conveyor belt, and intelligent robotic arms packaged and stacked the products. Subsequently, workers operated electric hydraulic forklifts to easily transport products weighing up to 400 kilograms to the warehouse, where the scale of finished products continued to expand.

"After the New Year, the company's production and operations have been overall stable, with the device operating load rate maintained above 80%. As of now, the product output value has reached 202 million yuan," said Zhu Lingyun, General Manager of Inner Mongolia 3F Wanhao Fluorochemical Co., Ltd. He stated that the company will continue to focus on areas such as enterprise safety production, digital intelligence empowerment, and technological innovation, racing against time, accelerating progress, and striving to achieve a strong start in the first quarter.

"Currently, among the 14 newly constructed ferroalloy projects in our city, which adopt green energy substitution, extend industry chains, test new technological equipment, and replace capacity, the first submerged arc furnaces of Jinglei, Jitie, and Shangtai projects have all successfully started production, while other projects are under construction," said Xu Linchun, Head of the Raw Materials and Salt Industry Management Section of Fengzhen City's Bureau of Industry and Information Technology. He added that Fengzhen City is focusing on advantageous industries such as ferroalloys and fluorochemicals, fully supporting enterprises in increasing investment and expanding production, improving quality and efficiency. All major enterprises are operating stably, laying a solid foundation for achieving a strong start in the first quarter.

This week, ferrous metals diverged, with coking coal and coke extending their strength, iron ore making some concessions, and finished steel moving sideways. Early in the week, rumors about coal mine safety inspections continued to swirl, and expectations of supply tightness intensified, driving coking coal to its daily limit up. Against weak supply-demand fundamentals, iron ore took a path of conceding to coking coal and coke, while finished steel edged higher in a narrow range; later in the week, data on the five major steel products were released, with HRC inventory destocking continuing, the off-season effect on construction steel demand emerging, inventory destocking narrowing, and overall inventory pressure for finished steel also beginning to slowly accumulate......

[HRC] HRC export prices remained stable day on day today, with transaction prices at 496-504 USD/tonne. A major mill in north China reported that its transaction price fell by more than 5-10 USD/tonne WoW this week, and its prices remained higher than other resources, at around 515 USD/tonne. The presence of tax-exclusive prices in the market has made it more difficult for some regular traders to close deals. It is learned that tax-exclusive prices are even 10 USD/tonne lower than the market’s lowest tax-inclusive prices. [Rebar] Rebar export FOB quotations remained stable today, with transaction prices mostly concentrated at 492-495 USD/tonne. Shipments are mostly scheduled for August, and some steel mills have full order books, with deliveries already scheduled from September to October. According to feedback from some market traders, recent inquiries for wire rod have been moderate, overseas buyers remain cautious and on the sidelines, and their psychological price levels are generally lower than current offers. [Steel Billet] The export transaction price for steel billet was 473-475 USD/tonne today, holding steady day on day. Recently, offers from steel mills in north China were at around 478 USD/tonne, but it is reported that deals cannot be reached for high-priced resources. Currently, most shipments are scheduled for August, with a few in September. It is learned that a few mills in east China have maintenance plans in June and will continue to control their order intake in the short term. In addition, some mills in north China have recently taken new rebar orders, so they are temporarily reducing the volume of steel billet available for ordering.
