This milestone represents a significant step in BYD's strategic expansion in South Asia.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On February 20 (local time), Chinese new energy vehicle maker (NEV) BYD held a grand opening ceremony for its Metropole Experience Center in Karachi, Pakistan, and announced the official launch of four sales and after-sales service outlets in the country, according to a press release from the automaker. This milestone represents a significant step in BYD's strategic expansion in South Asia.

Located in the historic Metropole Building, one of Karachi's most renowned landmarks, the BYD Metropole Experience Center is the carmaker's first flagship 4S showroom and customer experience hub in Pakistan. Spanning five floors and over 16,000 square meters, the facility integrates office space, technology showcases, vehicle sales, and business reception areas.

The facility's first and second floors feature a NEV exhibition area, technology experience zone, customer lounge, and sales consultation area, with over 50 dedicated charging spots.

Speaking at the event, Zhang Jie, Deputy General Manager of BYD's Asia-Pacific Automotive Sales Division, announced that BYD plans to expand its network to 15 stores across Pakistan by 2025, covering major first- and second-tier cities to further enhance the brand’s market presence and service capabilities.

BYD has maintained strong momentum in its global expansion this month. On February 13, BYD and its sub-brand DENZA showcased their latest product lineup at the Indonesia International Motor Show 2025 ("IIMS 2025"), where the company launched its luxury urban all-electric SUV, the BYD SEALION 7. The model also went on sale in Hungary earlier this month. Additionally, BYD brand officially launched the BYD ATTO 2 compact SUV in Europe and announced its entry into the Estonian market this month.
