Beijing (Gasgoo)- On February 22, China Dongfeng Motor Industry Import & Export Co., Ltd. held a grand ceremony in Jakarta, Indonesia, to mark the opening of its Indonesia office. This significant milestone reflects Dongfeng Motor's ongoing expansion into right-hand drive markets.

The establishment of the office is a key move in Dongfeng Motor's international strategy, aiming to boost the brand's visibility and influence in Indonesia and surrounding right-hand drive markets. The office will help the company better understand local customer needs and provide tailored products and services, laying a solid foundation for further market growth.

2025 is a pivotal year for Dongfeng Motor's internationalization efforts. With the full implementation of its "2+2" export plan, the Chinese automaker aims to increase the export share of its wholly-owned brands to over 20% of the total by 2026, focusing on enhancing marketing capabilities and accelerating the transformation from "going global" to "integrating locally."

For 2025, Dongfeng Motor's overseas export targets include 151,500 passenger vehicles and 40,000 commercial vehicles, with Europe tasked with 26,000 units. The company plans to introduce the GX series heavy-duty trucks to markets including Indonesia, Myanmar, and Australia, with a focus on right-hand drive markets and offering flexible financing solutions through third-party platforms.
