US Tariff Hike Prompts China's Countermeasures; Markets Gradually Resume After Chinese New Year

Chinese New Year Period Ends, Spot and Futures Markets Gradually Resume Operations [SMM Tin Morning News]
SMM Tin Morning News on February 5, 2025: On February 1, 2025, the US government announced a 10% tariff hike on all Chinese exports to the US, citing issues such as fentanyl. The unilateral tariff hike by the US seriously violates World Trade Organization rules, not only failing to address its own problems but also damaging normal economic and trade cooperation between China and the US. In accordance with the "Customs Law of the People's Republic of China," the "Import and Export Tariff Regulations of the People's Republic of China," the "Foreign Trade Law of the People's Republic of China," and basic principles of international law, and with the approval of the State Council, China will impose additional tariffs on certain imported goods originating from the US starting February 10, 2025........

According to a post on TeslaAI's Weibo account, the TERAFAB project was officially launched and is expected to achieve computing power output of more than 1 terawatt (1 TW) per year.
