CITIC Dicastal's Morocco Plant Named Africa's First 'Lighthouse Factory'

Published: Jan 19, 2025 16:38
The World Economic Forum recently released a new list of "Lighthouse Factories," among which CITIC Dicastal's Morocco plant, a subsidiary of CITIC Group, was successfully included, becoming the first "Lighthouse Factory" in Africa. This marks CITIC's first overseas "Lighthouse Factory" after CITIC Dicastal's No. 6 aluminum wheel plant in Qinhuangdao, Hebei, became the first in the global aluminum wheel industry to receive this honor.

In the current industry, digital innovation has become a widely recognized consensus, particularly evident in the manufacturing sector. "Lighthouse Factories" are regarded as benchmarks for "digital manufacturing" and "Globalization 4.0," representing the leading level of intelligence and digitalization in global manufacturing. To be selected as a "Lighthouse Factory," enterprises must achieve significant improvements in key operational metrics such as production efficiency, operational agility, and ecological sustainability, and must integrate at least five world-class leading technological examples to demonstrate value creation for the industry.
