Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On January 7, Chinese automaker Chery Automobile Co., Ltd. (Chery Automobile) established a wholly-owned subsidiary, Anhui Mojia Zhichuang Robotics Technology Co., Ltd. ("Mojia Zhichuang" is Chinese Pinyin), with a registered capital of 100 million yuan, according to Chinese enterprise information inquiry platform Qichacha.

The subsidiary features a business scope covering the sales and R&D of intelligent robots, industrial robot sales, production of smart manufacturing equipment, artificial intelligence (AI) application software development, AI basic software development, information system integration services, and smart control system integration.

In August 2024, Chery Automobile established Anhui Kaiyang Technology Co., Ltd., whose business scope extends to cover the R&D of intelligent robots, AI basic software development, and AI application software development.

Chery Holding Chairman Mr. Yin Tongyue emphasized in his 2025 New Year address that the company is stepping up investments in companies and research institutions such as LION TECH, ZDrive.ai, solid-state battery research institute, chip research institute, and NEXT AI research institute.

Chery Holding reported that its 2024 annual sales reached 2,603,916 vehicles, representing a 38.4% year-over-year jump and hitting a record-high level.

Chery Holding also achieved four key records in 2024. Its annual revenue reached 480 billion yuan for the first time, marking a 50% year-over-year spike. The automaker's annual sales surpassed 2.6 million vehicles, a 38.4% leap from the year-ago period. The company's export volume stood at 1,144,588 vehicles last year, up 21.4% from the previous year. It also sold 583,569 new energy vehicles (NEVs) in 2024, which skyrocketed 232.7% year on year.
