[SMM PV News] EU Approves €500M Cleantech Scheme for Luxembourg
The European Commission has approved a €500 million state aid scheme for Luxembourg to support the manufacturing of clean technologies, including solar, wind, and batteries. Operating under the Clean Industrial Deal State Aid Framework ('CISAF'), the initiative will provide direct grants to local companies until December 2030. This marks the first 'CISAF' scheme for a small Member State. The funding aims to expand local capacity, boosting efforts by companies like 'Solarcells', which recently began producing Luxembourg's first domestic solar panels. This follows similar 'CISAF' approvals for Greece (€400 million) and Germany (€3 billion) to accelerate Europe's net-zero transition.

[SMM PV News] Premier Energies Starts Trial Production at 5.6 GW Module Plant
Premier Energies Ltd has started trial production at its 5.6 GW solar module manufacturing facility in Seetharampur, Telangana, producing G12R TOPCon modules with zero-busbar ('0BB') architecture. This new 75-acre factory boosts the company's total module capacity beyond 10 GW. The highly automated plant can produce up to four modules every 16 seconds and uses 'AI'-powered fault detection. Company executives highlighted the facility's role in scaling integrated manufacturing and supporting India's clean energy goals. Premier Energies is also executing a $1.38 billion capital expenditure plan over three years to double its capacity, expand into ingots and wafers, and diversify into inverters and battery systems.
