Changan Automobile posts 5.12% YoY rise in 2024 annual sales

Chinese automaker Changan Automobile on Jan. 4 announced its monthly sales volume for December 2024, which stood at 250,689 vehicles, representing a 16.55% jump year-on-year.

Beijing (Gasgoo)- Chinese automaker Changan Automobile on Jan. 4 announced its monthly sales volume for December 2024, which stood at 250,689 vehicles, representing a 16.55% jump year-on-year.

Throughout the year, Changan Automobile sold 2,683,798 vehicles cumulatively, which rose 5.12% from a year ago. Of the vehicles sold in 2024, a total of 2,226,489 units were under Changan Automobile's wholly-owned brands, with 1,668,284 units being passenger vehicles.

Changan Automobile's wholly-owned brands sold 536,196 vehicles in overseas market last year.

In the new energy vehicle (NEV) sector, Changan Automobile sold 91,325 vehicles in December, which added up to an annual volume of 734,615 units in total.

As to Changan Automobile's joint ventures, Changan Ford sold 247,035 vehicles in 2024, representing a 5.97% climb year-on-year. Meanwhile, the automaker's other joint venture, Changan Mazda, posted a 14.69% year-on-year drop in annual sales, which came in at 88,662 vehicles.
