Dongfeng Motor Group’s new energy vehicle sales grow 15.4% YoY in Jan.-Sept. 2024

Chinese automaker Dongfeng Motor Group Company Limited (Dongfeng Motor Group) announced on October 10 that its September auto sales amounted to 167,932 vehicles, down 16.41% year-on-year.

Beijing (Gasgoo)- Chinese automaker Dongfeng Motor Group Company Limited (Dongfeng Motor Group) announced on October 10 that its September auto sales amounted to 167,932 vehicles, down 16.41% year-on-year.

Of the vehicles sold in the past month, 46,479 units were new energy vehicles (NEVs), sliding 5.95% from the year-ago period.

In the first three quarters of this year, Dongfeng Motor Group’s cumulative sales volume came in at 1,366,181 vehicles, representing an 8.4% decrease compared to that of the previous year. On the other hand, the group’s NEV sector posted a 15.4% year-on-year increase in year-to-date sales, which reached 267,008 vehicles.

As to individual monthly performance of Dongfeng Motor Group’s wholly-owned brands, Dongfeng Motor Passenger Vehicle Company (including Aeolus, eπ, and NAMMI brands) boasted an impressive 120.21% year-on-year surge in sales, which came in at 25,544 vehicles in September. In the same period, VOYAH, the group’s premium new energy vehicle brand, sold 10,001 vehicles, which shot up 99.58% from a year ago. Additionally, Dongfeng Motor’s high-end electric off-roader brand MHERO sold 274 vehicles in September.
