On September 19, BYD delivered 100 pure electric buses to CUTCSA, Uruguay's largest electric public transport operator, at its Qingdao factory.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On September 19, BYD delivered 100 pure electric buses to CUTCSA, Uruguay's largest electric public transport operator, at its Qingdao factory. This handover ceremony marks another significant breakthrough for BYD in the international commercial vehicle market and provides a fresh boost to Uruguay's push towards green transportation.

At the event, CUTCSA praised the BYD electric buses for their performance, quality, environmental benefits, and operational efficiency. The company expressed its hope to achieve full electrification of its fleet by 2040 through continued collaboration with BYD.

The K9UD electric buses delivered to CUTCSA are 12 meters long and tailored specifically for the Uruguayan market. These buses combine eco-friendliness, energy efficiency, smart technology, safety, and comfort, offering passengers a safe, comfortable, and convenient travel experience. BYD said this customized bus not only showcases its latest technological advancements but also symbolizes the strong partnership between BYD and CUTCSA. Moreover, it is a key step in Uruguay's journey towards 100% electric public transport.

To date, BYD's electric buses have expanded across multiple Latin American countries, including Uruguay, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, and Ecuador, further advancing the region's transition to electric public transportation.
