[SMM Data] Total Manganese Ore Imports in August 2024 Increased by 14% MoM

According to the latest release from the General Administration of Customs, in August 2024, China's total manganese ore imports were 2.61 million mt, up 13.97% MoM and up 3.57% YoY.

According to the latest release from the General Administration of Customs, in August 2024, China's total manganese ore imports were 2.61 million mt, up 13.97% MoM and up 3.57% YoY. The cumulative import volume from January to August was 18.92 million mt, down 7.21% YoY. The import volume of manganese ore in August increased slightly. China imported 91,300 mt of Australian manganese ore (up 8.51% MoM); 1.727 million mt of South African manganese ore (up 21.56% MoM); 97,100 mt of Gabonese manganese ore (down 71.56% MoM); 407,800 mt of Ghanaian manganese ore (up 101.82% MoM); 5,500 mt of Brazilian manganese ore (down 30.09% MoM); and 104,800 mt of Myanmar manganese ore (down 3.68% MoM).
