Large Copper Bar Firms Eye September Market Optimistically Amid Seasonal Recovery, Small Players Struggle

According to SMM, large-scale copper bar enterprises hold optimistic expectations for the September market and have set ambitious targets. This is mainly because September marks the seasonal recovery phase for the copper bar market, coupled with the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday in mid-September and the approaching National Day holiday at the end of the month, downstream enterprises will start stocking up in advance, boosting the demand for copper bars. Additionally, for some downstream enterprises, their order performance was poor in the first half of the year due to the suppression of copper prices, and the second half of the year will be a crucial period for them to sprint and fulfill their annual plans. However, small-scale copper bar enterprises indicated that they face significant pressure in the future market, with downstream demand weaker than previous years, and they are unable to attract orders with price advantages, facing considerable challenges in maintaining existing orders.
