Nissan is developing a new pilot production line for solid-state batteries and plans to launch mass-produced electric vehicles equipped with such batteries in 2028. Ivan Espinosa, Vice President of Global Product Planning, said that solid-state batteries can be applied to various types of vehicles, including sports cars. "Since solid-state batteries can store the same amount of energy in a smaller space, it is easier to apply them to sports cars," he said on August 27.
