Australia Approves Giant Solar Power Project, Planning to Supply Power to Singapore: The Australian government announced on the 21st that it has approved the construction of a solar power park in the north of the country, which will become the "largest in the world" after completion, and some of the electricity generated will be transmitted to Singapore through submarine cables. The project, proposed by Australia Solar Cable, is expected to have a total investment of US$13.5 billion. According to the plan, the project will be built in the Northern Territory in northern Australia, which is rich in solar energy resources, and will cover an area of about 12,000 hectares.
