Under the agreement, Infineon will supply a comprehensive chipset solution for EVE Energy's next-generation BMS (battery management system).

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On July 22, Chinese battery supplier EVE Energy and Infineon Technologies (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. ("Infineon") signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) in Huizhou city, Guangdong province, aiming to leverage their respective strengths to provide enhanced battery management system (BMS) solutions for the automotive market, in a bid to drive the electrification and intelligence evolution of the automotive industry.

Under the MoU, Infineon will supply a comprehensive chipset solution for EVE Energy's next-generation BMS (battery management system). This includes a range of critical components such as microcontroller units, analog front-end (TLE9018XXX), power source management integrated circuits, drivers, MOSFETs, controller area network (CAN) components, and sensors. These will enable EVE Energy to more precisely monitor, protect, and optimize the performance of electric vehicle batteries, thereby improving user driving experience and energy efficiency.

Infineon, a global leader in semiconductors, offers a rich portfolio of automotive chips and comprehensive product solutions. The company is committed to advancing global decarbonization and digitalization efforts. Through its innovative products, Infineon is shaping the future of mobility, making vehicles more environmentally friendly, safe, and intelligent, thus accelerating the automotive industry's shift towards electrification, intelligence, and connectivity.

Mr. Cao Yanfei, Senior Vice President at Infineon Technologies, acknowledged the significant growth EVE Energy has achieved in the BMS sector in recent years. He highlighted Infineon's extensive system solutions, which can meet diverse customer needs across multiple dimensions. Emphasizing the importance of power batteries to Infineon's strategic direction, Mr. Cao expressed hope for deeper communication and broader collaboration with EVE Energy.

EVE Energy's President, Mr. Liu Jianhua, emphasized the importance of their partnership with Infineon. He expressed optimism that their joint efforts would elevate the collaboration, continually providing the market with advanced and reliable solutions, thereby driving rapid business growth and enhancing the company's competitive edge. Liu also noted that modern supply chains require more than simple transaction relationships. Instead, there is a need for proactive planning and prioritization in selecting and utilizing components, with involvement in application markets starting at the new product development stage.

[SMM Analysis] Korea’s Automotive Industry: 2030 Competitiveness Depends on EV Transition Execution
Korea’s auto industry maintained solid exports and production in 2025, but its 2030 competitiveness will depend on EV transition execution. The domestic market has matured, while hybrids have become a defensive pillar. EV adoption remains below the government’s target, and U.S.-EU policy pressure and Chinese EV competition are reshaping export strategies. Future competitiveness will hinge on pricing, localization, battery sourcing, and charging and safety confidence.
