Chemaf S.A. Expands Mining Operations to Boost Copper and Cobalt Hydroxide Production

Chemaf S.A. (Chemaf) was founded in 2001 by the current chairman, Shiraz Virji. In the past two decades, the Etoile mine of Chemaf has produced over 300,000 tons of copper and 55,000 tons of cobalt hydroxide. Currently, the second-phase expansion of Etoile mine and the new Mutoshi project are both in the late stage of construction, with an expected annual output of over 75,000 tons of copper and 20,000 tons of cobalt hydroxide.
