Beijing (Gasgoo)- On May 25, XPENG AEROHT, the urban air mobility company affiliated with XPENG, participated in the 4th China Intelligent Vehicle Conference and conducted a demonstration flight over Shenzhen's Central Business District (CBD), showcasing the future of urban mobility with its "flying car."

At the event, XPENG AEROHT's Voyager X2 took off vertically from Shenzhen Talent Park, flew around the park at an altitude of 30 meters, and operated entirely in autonomous mode.

The Voyager X2 is a two-seater electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) vehicle developed and manufactured by XPENG AEROHT. Prior to this public demonstration, it had completed nearly 6,000 test flights in various scenarios, including urban CBDs, coastal areas, deserts, and rivers.

Previously, Shenzhen released a work report emphasizing the city's commitment to advancing in new sectors such as the low-altitude economy and intelligent connected economy. Shenzhen aims to leverage small-scale innovations to drive substantial industrial growth, accelerating the development of an "aerial city" with integrated low-altitude management, panoramic applications, and industry aggregation demonstrations.

A representative from XPENG AEROHT stated that the demonstration aimed to promote future low-altitude commuting and sightseeing in Shenzhen's CBD, providing valuable insights for developing a three-dimensional urban transportation system.

Additionally, on March 25, XPENG AEROHT announced that the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) South Central Regional Administration had accepted the Type Certificate (TC) application for the airframe of its "Land Aircraft Carrier" flying car, codenamed X3-F, marking a significant step towards airworthiness certification.
