Huayou Energy Launches 5GWh Lithium-ion Battery Recycling and Energy Storage Project in Jiangning

[Huayou Starts Construction of 5GWh Power Battery Recycling and Energy Storage Projects] On May 18, Huayou Energy’s lithium-ion battery recycling and lithium-ion battery energy storage system production project was launched in Jiangning Development Zone. It is reported that the total construction area of the project is 47,000 square meters, and it will build a production capacity of 5GWh of lithium-ion battery recycling, and undertake the functions of the "five major centers" including Huayou Energy’s R&D center, sales center, operation center, regional production center, and recycling and energy storage center. Jiangsu Huayou Energy Technology Co., Ltd. is jointly invested and established by Zhejiang Huayou Cobalt Industry Co., Ltd., Toyota Tsusho Corporation, and China Merchants Investment Development Co., Ltd., mainly engaged in recycling and energy storage business of decommissioned power batteries.
