Liaoning government issued guiding opinions to increase subsidies for the promotion of EV taxis.

Recently, the Department of Transportation of Liaoning Province issued the "Guiding Opinions on Accelerating the Promotion of Electric Taxi Promotion Work in Liaoning Province" to provide guidance on the promotion of electric taxis in various cities within the province. The guiding opinions clearly propose to increase the subsidy funds for the promotion of electric taxis. According to relevant regulations of the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Transportation, Liaoning will transfer 30% of the urban transportation development award funds (referred to as electric funds) directly to each city based on the current base, to be used by each city to support the promotion of electric taxis.

The proportion of electric taixs updates in each city is linked to the budget for electric funds in the next year. Specifically, the update rate is based on 35% as the benchmark, with a reduction of 5 percentage points resulting in a 10% reduction in the budget for electric funds in the following year. For cities with an update rate of zero, no budget will be allocated for electric funds in the following year, and the reduced funds will be allocated and used by the province in a coordinated manner.
