In February 2024, export volume of unwrought silver with purity ≥99.99% was 261.549239 tons, a decrease of 18.5% month-on-month and a year-on-year decrease of 4%.
Among the various trade modes of China's silver ingot exports from January to February 2024, exports under "processing trade with imported materials” accounted for 97.94% of the total export volume from January to February; exports from "goods in bonded areas (including pilot areas under customs supervision)" accounted for 2.06% of the total export volume from January to February; exports under "general trade” accounted for a very small proportion. The main export registration places were Henan, Shandong, Jiangxi, Fujian. China's silver ingot exports are mainly based on "processing trade with imported materials". Due to the influence of macro information in 2024, the price of silver this year is relatively high. Smelting companies are willing to purchase raw materials to produce and sell silver. At the same time, the Chinese New Year in 2023 was in January, and that also affected the export volume of silver. Therefore, the export volume in February this year has increased year-on-year. .
