Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On March 25, Chinese new energy vehicle maker NETA Auto marked a significant milestone in its journey by rolling off its 400,000th mass-produced vehicle, which also coincides with the production of the company's first mass-produced units of the NETA L model.

Set to begin deliveries in April, the NETA L is positioned as a mid-to-large SUV, boasting dimensions of 4,770mm long, 1,900mm wide, 1,660mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,810mm. It will be initially available in three colors: black, white, and pink, catering to diverse consumer preferences.

The NETA L introduces a fresh design language with its closed front end and trapezoidal air intake, coupled with a dot-matrix grille design. The vehicle features distinctive three-segment LED daytime running lights within its L-shaped headlight assembly, further modernized by flush door handles to reduce aerodynamic drag. Options include a roof rack and a monochrome body color.

A double waistline design enhances the SUV's side profile, extending from the front to the rear door and culminating at the tail to visually widen the rear fender, creating a robust stance.

Inside, the NETA L sports a wraparound cockpit design, equipped with large dual-screen setup and a car refrigerator, utilizing a minimalist light-colored interior theme.

Notably, the rear executive seats come with a tray table, adding a touch of luxury and convenience for passengers.

Riding on the Shanhai platform, the NETA L comes with two versions based on powertrain solutions: a BEV (battery electric vehicle) version and an REEV (range-extended electric vehicle) version.

The REEV model features a 1.5-liter four-cylinder naturally aspirated generator developed by Chongqing Sokon Powertrain that is good for a maximum output of 67kW, paired with a lithium iron phosphate battery from SVOLT.

The BEV model features an electric motor that boasts a maximum motor power of 170kW, also employing a lithium iron phosphate battery from SVOLT. Furthermore, the NETA L is expected to offer CATL's Shenxing long-life L series battery as an option.

NETA Auto's rapid production achievements are noteworthy, reaching its 100,000th vehicle in January 2022 and its 300,000th in May 2023. The progression from the 300,000th to 400,000th vehicle in less than ten months further underscores the brand's accelerating growth. Currently, NETA Auto's diverse product lineup ranges from sports cars and coupes to SUVs, covering both BEV and REEV models.
