ECARX launches multiple new intelligent automotive products

On March 20, ECARX on its Tech Day 2024 brought forth the company’s latest advancements in intelligent cockpits, autonomous driving, automotive chips, and more.

Beijing (Gasgoo)- On March 20, ECARX on its Tech Day 2024 brought forth the company’s latest advancements in intelligent cockpits, autonomous driving, automotive chips, and more. ECARX emphasized its ongoing commitment to strengthen its position as a global leader in automotive intelligence technology.

Through further collaboration with Xingji Meizu Group, ECARX introduced the Qorgir computing platform based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 platform. This platform boasts a CPU power of 330 KDMIPS, GPU power of 4.2T FLOPS, and flagship performance with 60 TOPS hybrid edge-cloud AI, supporting up to 8K displays and hardware ray tracing technology.

Additionally, ECARX announced the development of the Atlas and Pikes computing platforms based on the fourth-generation Qualcomm Snapdragon cockpit SoC. Leveraging the FlymeAuto and Google Automotive Services ecosystems, ECARX aims to accelerate its global expansion and support the intelligent strategies of global automotive brands.

In the realm of intelligent driving, ECARX showcased the progress of its Skyland Pro intelligent driving computing platform's integrated driving and parking capabilities, including highway and urban Navigate on Autopilot (NOA), Automatic Park Assist (APA), Remote Park Assist (RPA), and Home Zone Park Assist (HPA), among other capabilities. With two intelligent driving chips from Black Sesame Technologies, this platform offers 64 KDMIPS of CPU power and 116 TOPS of NPU power. It has already been deployed onto the Lynk & Co 08 model.

During the event, ECARX also unveiled two LiDAR products, expanding its footprint in the sensor field. Specifically, the Photon-Matrix automotive LiDAR, featuring a long-range semi-solid-state main LiDAR with a detection range of 200 meters, and a short-range solid-state LiDAR for perceiving the 3D environment around the vehicle.

The cost of the short-range LiDAR is expected to drop to $100 (approximately 720 yuan), while the long-range LiDAR will be priced at $200 (approximately 1,440 yuan), with mass production expected by the end of this year. The LiDAR products will be integrated into upcoming Polestar models.
