Beijing (Gasgoo)- SAIC MAXUS and ZTE have recently announced the successful mass production application of ZTE's in-car 4G communication module in the SAIC MAXUS V80, a wide-body light commercial vehicle model.

This significant milestone signifies the fruitful collaboration between the two companies in the field of intelligent connected vehicles.

In terms of intelligent technology, the V80 is equipped with a factory-installed 10.1-inch high-definition touchscreen. Through SAIC MAXUS' latest generation of intelligent connectivity system, it offers advanced features such as remote control, vehicle monitoring, voice control, and fleet management.

Notably, the communication module, ZM8201, integrated into the V80's intelligent connectivity system, is specifically designed by ZTE to meet the independent innovation needs of the automaker.

Built on ZTE's self-developed 4G communication chip platform, this module provides a secure and reliable in-car connectivity solution for the automotive industry. The chip has passed the AEC Q100 automotive regulation certification, demonstrating excellent network compatibility and platform maturity. It has also successfully completed network certification tests by over 70 global operators.

The high reliability, security, cost-effectiveness, and global mass production capabilities of ZTE's in-car 4G communication module have received high recognition from SAIC Motor. In the future, this module will be applied onto various mass-produced vehicle models across SAIC Motor’s portfolio, further promoting the development of intelligent connected vehicles.
